SALES & MARKETING – London Kensington

We are looking for an intern to join our dynamic team based in London Kensington. Are you a pro-active, customer service oriented person who is self-driven and a quick learner? Do you enjoy social media and would like to learn more about digital marketing? Then this opportunity might be perfect for you!

This is a full time, paid internship and if you do well, there is even the opportunity for permanent work within the company at the end. The ideal candidate would be available September onwards for 6 months.

Our team has background in technology, retail, marketplaces, digital marketing and m-commerce and have many years of experience in leadership positions at one of the world’s largest online marketplace. You will be working in a fun and fast paced environment that encourages entrepreneurial spirit and drive. You should be a high achiever, both academically and in your extra-curricular activities, excited about solving problems and helping people. You will get great hands-on experience in sales and marketing in the Internet start-up industry.


You will be directly working with the founders, learning the ins and outs of running a fast growing and successful tech start up, undertaking a range of roles with a focus on market research and digital marketing:

  • Identifying new suppliers by area and category (desk-based research)
  • Pitching marketing packages / selling packages to providers via phone & e-mail
  • Setting up newsletter campaigns to reach out to new suppliers
  • Maintaining the relationship with our existing suppliers, answering questions via phone and email
  • Development of content featuring suppliers for editorial pages and social media: e.g. preparing the “What’s on this weekend” and “What’s on this month” for newsletter and social media
  • Management of Facebook and Twitter Accounts
  • Suggest product improvements based on customer feedback
  • Optional: If you have a talent for writing – copy writing for editorial content


  • Strong academic background with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consumer focused with strong empathy for customers
  • Organised, hard working and enthusiastic
  • Self motivated, uses initiative, problem solver & can-do attitude
  • The ability to absorb information quickly
  • Confident with new technology
  • Excellent MS office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to go beyond the call of duty to get the job done
  • Good sense of humour & outgoing personality
