Christmas lights in West London
The Oxford Street lights are shining bright and the local town centres will be following close after. Here we have collated the details for the West London light switch-ons, to help you with your Christmas activity planning.
Christmas lights – where and when
Chiswick – The evening will start outside the George IV pub on Chiswick High Road, there’ll be carols from a local school choir and other entertainment. Plus it is a perfect opportunity for early gift buying as some shops will be open for late night shopping.
Date: Thursday 27th November | Time: From 6pm.
Kew Sparkle – There will be Christmas lights, lots of stalls, mulled wine, carol singers from the local schools and the shops will be open late for shopping.
Date: Friday 5th December | Time: From 5.30pm.
Richmond – Festive stalls, food and live music. Receive a free hot chocolate and visit Father Christmas. Jerry Hall and the Deputy Mayor will be turning on the Christmas lights at 6.30pm near Amanda’s Flowers.
Date: Friday 28th November | Time: From 3pm
St Margarets – Crown Road will be closed for the day so the Christmas market can fill the street and make your Christmas gift shopping a breeze! There’ll be children’s entertainment, fairground rides, a real-life reindeer and more.
Date: Sunday 7th December | Time: From 11am
Teddington ‘Lights-Up’ – Chris Jarvis, actor and CBeebies presenter will be switching on the lights. The High Street will be closed to traffic to make way for Christmas stalls, seasonal stories, carols, and the big light switch-on.
